The colors and textures are, as always, beautiful. It does look very much like a book illustration. I think you've pulled off the foreshortening of the face very nicely. I think I might have to favorite this!

That's just... wow. I think Severus Snape is probably my favorite character from the series, and you definitely captured the young him.
