amazing! You did the coloring in inkscape, then adjusted in GPS? Must have been some hard work!

Yup. It started off as a painting/sketch with huge (and progressively smaller) chunks of semi-transparent color drawn with pencil tool with the fill option on. Eyes were duplicated and mirrored easily with vector graphics, then repainted slightly to reflect lighting/shadow placement... I used some of the paintbrush options in Inkscape too for hair and such but most of the texturing is Gimp's. I used GPS to smudge some of the lines and to adjust the painting's proportions afterwards with warp tool. Also, used some photo-adjustment tricks to brighten the colors. Overall, seems like a good combo of programs with Inkscape handling most of the initial sketching and coloring work, with its capability to place large flat chunks of color down quickly, and GPS taking over for final fixes.

It's an awesome technique--something I would never have thought of, but am interested in trying.

Please let me know if you have any other Inkscape work we can include in the various Inkscape groups. With work like this, it's difficult to tell unless you've explicitly stated :)

Thank you. I've got a few WIPs I need to finish but not much of this style in the gallery yet. I'll label them or use inkscape as tags or keywords when I'll upload new work.
