Severus Snape is another year older and not too pleased about it. It's not the best time for birthday wishes.

A quick four to five hour work. 1800x1300px, movie photos used for the reference on the face. Mainly an experiment in a different lighting scheme.

Very nice! Not too much of a Harry Potter fan but I will admit good art when I see it! Also I've watched the movies and I really like this particular character. Hey isn't Severus latin for "Stern"?....augh taking latin classes anyway good job

Thank you. Stern? Hmm, I think so. There were also some Roman emperors with that name. Fitting, considering he's got the nose to match. :D

Thank you. I mainly work with CGIllust, which is basically a demo version/clone of OpenCanvas v. 2. The main coloring: light and shadow effects are done in it, the textures are added in Project Dogwaffle, which, I believe has a freeware version out. Google both names and you'll find the developer's sites. I use a Medion graphics tablet with both. There's also some photoshop editing, mainly auto-levels and auto-contrast and the added frame.
